Known as “America’s Polka King”, released over 200 recordings in his career.
Played with Myron Floren, Johnny Pecon, Joey Miskulin
hosted the television series Polka Time for Buffalo, New York-based WKBW-TV for 26 weeks in 1962
earned two platinum singles for "Just Because" (1947) and "Blue Skirt Waltz" (1949).

There are two books about Rusk, one of them called ‘Beyond the Bend of the River’ which is also a 1986 movie about Rusk’s life.

Howard Reid Cable (December 15, 1920 – March 30, 2016)
Cable composed and arranged the original theme for the Hockey Night in Canada television broadcast, The Saturday Game which opened the broadcast from 1952 until 1968. His arrangement of Dolores Claman's "The Hockey Theme", which replaced his own composition in 1968, is the standard version, has been called "Canada's Second National Anthem"
He was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada by the Governor General in 1999.

Ray Davies and the Kinks management first learned of the album's existence from the US Billboard record chart.Davies instituted legal action against Reprise, which resulted in Reprise discontinuing the album in 1975.
