ned to play the guitar from family and friends at eight years of age. He led a group called the "Starlite Wranglers" before Sam Phillips at Sun Records put him together with then teenage Elvis Presley. Phillips believed that Moore's lead guitar and Bill Black's double bass were all that was needed to augment Presley's rhythm guitar and lead vocals on their recordings.

According to Scotty Moore, when the song was recorded, "We just went in there and started playing, just winged it. Just followed however Elvis felt." Moore played 2 solos on it.

Moore played on many of Presley's most famous recordings, including "That's All Right", "Heartbreak Hotel", "Blue Suede Shoes", "Hound Dog", "Jailhouse Rock" and "Hard Headed Woman".

David Clayton-Thomas Bossmen guitarist Jack Mowbray joined the Georgian IV and they changed their name to The Georgian People. Bossman pianist Tony Callacott joined shortly thereafter.

After the release of their only album, they began to lose members. Original drummer Pat Little went on to become a respected session drummer and a member of such Canadian acts as the Modern Rock Quartet, Fludd and Diamondback; LeBoeuf would move on to a brief reformation of Motherlode, then Southcote, and finally, Offenbach; Mowbray formed a lounge act with his wife until retired from the industry; Stewart McCann left the music business and is now a University Professor of Psychology.
