Buckwheat accepted an invitation in 1976 to join Clifton Chenier’s Red Hot Louisiana Band as organist. He quickly discovered the popularity of zydeco music, and marveled at the effect the music had on the audience. “Everywhere, people young and old just loved zydeco music,” Dural says. “I had so much fun playing that first night with Clifton. Dural's relationship with the legendary Chenier led him to take up the accordion in 1978. After practicing for a year, he felt ready to start his own band under the name Buckwheat Zydeco. Gene Victor Parsons: September 4, 1944 (age 72) Morongo Valley California
An American drummer, banjo player, guitarist, singer-songwriter, best known for his work with The Byrds from 1968 to 1972.

The stringbender was invented by Gene Parsons and Clarence White, first used by The Byrds Roger McGuinn. It’s also been used by Albert Lee, Pete Townsend, Randy Bachman, Jimmy Page, Randy Scruggs, Dave Gilmore etc. The resulting tone sounds much like a pedal steel guitar. This song pays homeage to Clarence White.

Following 5 tracks come Dr Byrds & Mr Hyde – Side 2

After the departure of Graham Parsons, the Byrds mixed country music with a psychedelic sound that was unique. Still playing Bob Dylan songs, This Wheel’s On Fire and My Back Pages are included in the album. This is the first Byrds album to feature the amazing Clarence White.

Clarence White (born Clarence Joseph LeBlanc - June 7, 1944 – July 14, 1973), was an American bluegrass and country guitarist and singer who cut his teeth with the Kentucky Colonels. White also worked extensively as a session musician, appearing on recordings by The Everly Brothers, Joe Cocker, Ricky Nelson, Pat Boone, The Monkees, Randy Newman, Gene Clark, Linda Ronstadt, Arlo Guthrie, and Jackson Browne amongst others. White died after being struck by a drunk driver. The accident occurred shortly after 2 a.m., while he and his brother were loading equipment into their car following a spur-of-the-moment reunion gig of the Kentucky  Colonels. Especially shaken by his death was Gram Parsons, who would lead a singalong of "Farther Along" at the funeral service and conceive his final song before his own death, "In My Hour of Darkness", as a partial tribute to White.

In the 1960s, Warriner, working as a music producer, wanted to record an RCMP band performing O Canada the the country’s centennial but the American Federation of Musicians forbid it since the band were not members of the union.
