Charles Neville (b. New Orleans, December 28, 1938 – April 26, 2018 Huntington, Mass)

He served in the Navy from 1956 to 1958 and discovered the music scene on Beale Street while stationed in Memphis, Tennessee, later touring with B.B. King and Bobby (Blue) Bland. In 1963 he was arrested for possession of marijuana and served a 3 yr sentence at Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. Died of pancreatic cancer.

This is a song that could be interpreted different ways. Donovan was playing at a nightclub in Los Angeles called "The Trip," but at the same time was tripping out on LSD shortly before he returned to London where he became the first British musician busted for drugs.

Released on 24 May 1968, the LP peaked at number one on the UK Album Charts on 29 June, where it remained for a total of six weeks. The packaging was a parody of Ogden's Nut-brown Flake, a brand of tobacco that was produced in Liverpool from 1899 onwards by Thomas Ogden. The album was originally released on vinyl in a circular novelty package of a metal replica of a giant tobacco tin. This proved too expensive and not successful as the tins tended to roll off of shelves and it was quickly followed by a paper replica with a gatefold cover.

This album was the first full length LP released by RCA Canada. Ned began recording singles for RCA Victor in 1955, eventually completing eight LPs for that label. The winner in the open class of the 1956, 1957, and 1962 Canadian Open Old Time Fiddlers' Contests, he’s best known as the composer of fiddle standards Ontario Swing, Bowin' the Strings, and Hillbilly Calypso.

Began making records in 1959 and continued to do so throughout most of the sixties. In 1967 they recorded "The Psychedelic Worm". The band developed a following in Europe. In 1962, they played at the Star-Club in Hamburg, where the Beatles, then a little-known band, served as an opening act. This was taken from a compilation album.

Johnny Paris died on 1 May 2006.
Drummer Bill "Little Bo" Savich died on 4 January 2002.
Bassist Lionel "Butch" Mattice died on October 16, 2006.
Guitarist David Yorko died on 17 February 2017 at the age of 73.

Dawn Patrol is the debut studio album by Night Ranger released in 1982. The band was named Ranger during the recording of the album. The first issues of the album were printed and ready to be shipped when it was discovered that there was a country band from California with the same name. The band decided to name themselves Night Ranger after the song that Jack Blades had written for the album. The record company destroyed the copies with the band name Ranger. Their first three albums, Dawn Patrol, Midnight Madness, and Seven Wishes, all reached RIAA Platinum status and garnered the band international fame.
